[OKDXA] Another Rare One

Heard CE0X on the same 10 meter frequency as VP6DI yesterday evening - for awhile both were saying listening up 5 to 10 until CE0X figured out what hit him and he started listening down several.

Just a few minutes ago (01:00Z) was checking and setting SWR on the various mobile sticks I bought at Green Country with my ICOM 706. I put the 15 stick on made a Q with JE3JSV on SSB then for grins went down to the CW end and came upon what sounded like a beehive around 21.050 - It buzzed all the way down to 21.022 and at 21.019 I heard VP6DI with a nice 589 signal on the mobile stick. Needing him on CW I thought it in my best interest to not try and work him with 100 watts and a mobile antenna so - I strolled into my fixed shack where I have larger appliances and substantially more aluminum at greater heights. Tossed my callsign in the fray a few times all the while trying to locate his listening frequency. The CW op is quite good. Took me about 19 calls to figure out his pattern and bagged him on the 20th shot.

What a pileup. I heard guys as high as 21.060 calling him. It must really be a thrill on the Ducie end.
