[OKDXA] Hospitality Suite

Ham-Com,

It was fantastic! That's all you need to know.

As for General Dave, he had a place at the honored guest table across from
me. I'm not sure why I was at that table. However, I'm sure that his salad
is a little stale by now.

I think they call it a hospitality suite because those that stay there more
than a couple of hours are carted off to the hospital. When I entered the
suite Saturday evening, I asked out loud, if anyone in there was telling the
truth and the place became absolutely quiet.

I was chatting with the General Dave on Wednesday night and was shocked,
shocked I tell you, to hear he won't be making HamCom this year! Seems I
recall the last time an OKDXA President didn't make HamCom, someone filled
in for him and was treated almost like RF Royalty... Perhaps you recall.

At least the 'ATV won't feel too bad, not knowing what he missed, so I hope
those of you who do attend will report your experiences here in the
reflector... So he will feel bad.

... and feel free to describe the weekend in glowing terms.

As for me, I'm trying to finance a rebuilt driveshaft later this year and we
all know what that's like. Kinda' reminds me of when I had a differential
run dry and munch the rear wheel bearings two weeks before Ham Holiday...
It's like Deja' Vu all over again.
