The bands have been kinda' stinko for the past month or so, but with very
few signals being heard tonight I managed to work VK7GK in Tasmania on
18115.3, SSB... Busted a small pileup and got a 5/5 signal report running
100 watts. He worked a Russian before me, followed by a steady stream of US
and South American stations, and told all of us the band is in poor
condition.

Yeah, I've heard 17 Meters in better shape, but I've heard much worse,
too... Shoulda' asked if he knows W5TAZ, but it slipped my mind.
