Here is the latest from the ST0F web site in case you have not checked lately:
12:00Z 12/12/2002 Update: 

William's work has slowed down slightly from his 14-16 hour work days. The officals in charge at his remote work site have given him the OK to operate in his spare time, so expect to hear on again. He has been spotted on 10 and 20m, and will try others as time permits. William still departs for South Africa on December 20 for a visit with his family, and will return to Sudan in mid January. 
He is using his small rig and a G5RV now at the remote location, but will install the new antenna and use IC735 when he is back in Khartoum. With some luck, he will be able to bring the repaired amp with him when he returns to Sudan after Christmas.
