[OKDXA] And I Thought I Had Problems

I was tuning around 10 Meters this afternoon and came across Iver (can't
recall the call sign) from Belfast on 28.495 MHz in a rag chew with a W2...
Any of you who frequent the band have probably come across him as he's
generally one of the first to come in with a Big Signal whenever 10 is open
to Europe, and he's quite a conversationalist...

Anyway, he's telling a story about the farmer that lives next door to him.
The farmer has cows and chickens, and whenever Iver is outside he likes to
go visit with the cows... He talks to them and they always come over to the
fence to visit with him. Well, one of the hens took a liking to him and a
few months ago got in the habit of laying her eggs next to the fence and
then rolling them over to Iver's side so he could pick them up. According to
Iver, these were some of the finest eggs he's ever had, but last week the
hen stopped leaving them for him. Then he noticed the hen wasn't around any
more. He started thinking that since this hen was giving him all her eggs,
the farmer might have thought she'd stopped laying and invited her into the
house for Sunday dinner.

So, Iver asked the farmer about the hen.

Turns out that the hen is at the vet's and it's nothing to be concerned
about, but he may not be getting any more eggs for a while... Seems she ate
a rubber band and keeps laying the same egg over and over and over again...
