[OKDXA] Donations

The OKDXA Mail List was established under my administration although I can
take no credit for it.  Bob has done a super job making it work and of
controling its content.  I personally think it is the best tool we have for
communicating within the Association.  I cannot imagine discontinuing it
unless we loose the server or Bob's support.

The only requests for donations I recall were to support DXpeditions.  The
charter of the OKDXA spcifies that one role of the Association is to provide
finacial support to DXpeditions.  Requests for donations are certainly club
business and should be posted on the club mail list.  If this concerns a
member, they should unsubscribe so they will not be bothered.

I still wonder why people cannot use their delete key to remove the chaff
from the wheat.  I certainly do not read every ad that is in the newspaper.
I just turn to the next page.

My decision on whether to send Al a donation or not is a personal and
private one.  I see no need to try to influence other people one way or the
other.  I appreciate Al presenting the facts and not just making threats of
shutting down as others have in the past.
