Yes, it was a green 1 cent stamp with GW on it and to send an envelope you
put a purple 3 cent stamp on it with GW's picture. Airmail was a red 7 cent
stamp with an old bi-plane. It's terrible when old timers start this.
And that's my 2 cents worth.

My $0.02 worth:
The Logbook of the World is being developed and will take a
long time to put in place. It's still in its primary stages and a lot
of details remain to be worked out yet. Envisioning what has
to happen is mindboggling to say the least. Wayne N7NG gave
a good pitch on it at last years' banquet and we more or less
got a feel for the immensity of the undertaking. To net it out,
don't hold your breath. Snag some of those IRC's or send an
Email to some of the better known QSL managers and buy
some of theirs. They always have a few extra. LOTW will be
a trememdous effort by all involved but I can see it happening
eventually. In the meantime, pucker up for the 37 cent first class
stamp world.
Would you believe I'm old enough to remember penny post
cards? Then 2 cent post cards and the fed is still promising
inflation is under control. HA! Under whose control ?? Surely
not mine.
