Hi everyone,

Just a friendly reminder that you and your family are invited to the first Houston POTA event for 2025. We hope to see you all there.

A few important things to know.

  • Park access is free. More info on: https://www.fws.gov/refuge/brazoria

  • We will provide at least 4 HF radios so the only thing you need to bring is yourself, something to drink, and snack on. There is no park store so you may want to bring bug spray and or sun screen.

  • You are welcomed to bring your own equipment to use, ask questions about, or to share with others.

  • You can use your own call sign if you decide to get on the radio.

  • Technician class licensees ARE WELCOME! You can operate within your designated band, however if you want access to all HF bands please see Anthony (W5LIC) or Kori (WX5KR) to use a different call sign.

  • Of course, you do not have to operate the radios, you can come out for a fun time with your fellow hams.

  • Reach out to us on 146.520MHz FM simplex while in the vicinity of the park.

  • This is a family friendly event.
