Hi All,?
Somebody mentioned on the Net tonight about Mexican food for the Christmas Luncheon. Here's a local Oak Forest restaurant. Good food ratings, located behind Lowes off of Ella Street and 610 N. Great service also, let's try to support local Oak Forest restaurants!

Tripadvisor (18)?? Mexican ??$$

Amateur Radio Operators, please volunteer for the 2024 Chevron Houston
weekend of January 13 & 14 2024. This year, 30,000 participants, 7,000+
volunteers, and 250,000 spectators are expected.

*  2024 Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Half-Marathon on SUNDAY, January
14, 2024

*  We Are Houston 5K Run on Saturday, January 13, 2024

150 Amateur Radio Operators are needed to fully staff positions and provide
public service communications and related race related operational support.

The 5K Run provides an opportunity to test our radio equipment for Sunday
and the event requires fewer operators.

The full and half marathon is on Sunday.  Amateur Radio Operators provide
Public Safety and race management activities.

AMATEUR RADIO REGISTRATION WEBSITES FOR 2024.

Amateur Radio Operator Registration  How to sign up.

Note "Amateur Radio Operator" positions do not show on the Houston Marathon
Volunteer public site and require a special access code of Radio on the
regular volunteer page.  This "Radio" code is entered in the "password"
field on the Volunteer/ Shift application.

Amateur Radio Operator volunteers must register at both the sites listed
below:

*        Houston Marathon's Volunteer web site to complete required legal
paperwork for the event, and to facilitate marathon interfaces for
credentials and other matters:
