Ahh did not see the FT710. The 710 is comparable to the 7300 and about in the same price range depending on the promotions. People are liking the 710 with the new firmware update. Get the lowest price deal promo, whatever it is.

FYI, there has been an issue with new 7300s - HF RF output is well below the stated 100 watts. Icom has had over two dozen returned (incl. mine)
in the past 6 months.

The Icom IC-7300 does not do 2m/70cm. It does 160-6m.

The 7300 is HF and 6m. Software defined. Color display, waterfall, latest
technology, Tuner built in.
The 7100 is HF 6, 2 and 70cm Including DStar. No tuner. BW detachable
display, mobile or base. This unit is going out of production but otherwise
serviceable. Probably no firmware upgrades.
Both can take various Icom compatible tuners.
They are about the same price more or less. These are not really in the
same class.
Compare specs on the Icom website.
