Colleagues,<div dir="auto">Good morning.  I noticed something interesting this morning transmitting WSPR at 5 Watts from my IC 7300.  There seems to be directionality in my newly built home brew antenna towards the NNE &amp; NNW compass bearings.  You can see this in the attached WSPR map.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">My antenna is a 40m dipole oriented 30 degrees NNE.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">It is possible that my townhouse is keeping signal propagation from going south.  Possibly due to the TYVEK aluminum foil lined drywall paneling in the walls.  Also the adjacent townhome, with similar construction, 30 degrees north of me may be similarly keeping signals from propagating through it.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">I thought I’d share this interesting result with you.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">73, </div><div dir="auto">Stephen (W2WF)</div><div dir="auto"><div><div><img src="cid:184afc9b8bd1d59b7602" style="max-width: 100%;"></div><br></div><br></div>-- <br><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr">Regards,<div>Stephen</div></div></div>
