ARRL has just launched a new program of grants to be awarded to amateur radio clubs.

Grants are available to amateur radio CLUBS only.

Grants will be awarded in amounts from $2,500 to $25,000.

I am looking for ideas for OFARC.

Here is a link to the ARRL web page. http://www.arrl.org/club-grant-program

This YouTube video describes the program   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lx42qAFknOw

And one more on how to submit for a grant  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehe6DQiqTGI

Anyone have suggestions?

Scouts?  Museum Ships?  School club?

The only thing I have come up with so far is to provide radio stations for the Houston Museum of Natural Science in Sugar Land and at the George Observatory.  Each station would consist of VHF/UHF radios, Directional antennas, Coax, Solar Panels, Batteries.  My idea is for them to be use for STEM education, public service, demonstrations of amateur radio, and park to museum communications if the observatory staff gets flooded in for several days like happened during Harvey..
