Ralph,
Thank you for spearheading this activity.  Answers:

1.- I’m in for overnight field day radio activity.

2.- I can bring my son’s tent so camping would work for me.  However, a group cabin so we alternate sleeping & operating the radios would be good too.

Excellent way to promote amateur radio!

BTW, during our road-trip, I activated a park in California & one in Nevada.  The latter with snow on the ground!

Look forward to getting back to Houston & discussing field day plans with you & OFARC!

Stephen (W2WF)

I plan on going to brazos bend state park and the observatory next week to talk to the staff and scout it out for antennas.

We should consider getting a camp site in case members are not allowed to nap in the classroom downstairs at the observatory.

Also, we not get permission to operate from the upper deck, so antennas will be severely compromised.  We may need to set up at a camp site.

Please answer these 2 questions

Question 1 ... How many want to do an overnight?  (I do)

Question 2 .. Should I look at a group cabin, a pavilion or just regular camp site?  (I am ok with a tent and sleeping bag)
