Good afternoon all,

It is with a heavy heart that I must pass on the sad news that Wayne Wright (KA5QDG) passed away yesterday morning 10/11/2024.

 

Wayne was a pillar and driving force in the local HAM community. Him and a couple others started the Houston Amateur Mobile Society and built a network of about 40+ repeaters. 

 

Wayne was an "Elmer" to lots of us and I for one credit him with a lot of the radio knowledge I have today. It is a real honor that I was able to call him a friend and mentor.

 

Once plans are made for his service, I will pass on the news so that those that want to attend, can.

 

Please keep his family in your prayers as they get through the loss of their loved one.
