[OFARC] Fwd: [District-14] Possible Field Communications Mobilization

*VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY*

All,
We are gathering names of persons available to staff field locations in
Harris County to provide information via radio and/or digital
communications.

 Volunteers must be licensed hams and able to provide completely self
contained portable stations on VHF with access to local area repeaters.
Factors to consider:

1). Power for radios
2). Portable antennas
3). Food and water for a 12 hour shift (including medicine if needed)
during daylight hours
4)  Some form of protection from the sun (and sunscreen)
5)  Some form of protection from the weather (this is an outdoor deployment)
6)  Paper and writing utensils
7)  Cell phone in case the network is operational where you may be located
(radio has priority)

If available and willing to help please send a response via any means
possible back to us (see below) and include a viable means to contact you
back.
