A Coupled-Resonator HF Antenna
Jay Taft, K1EHZ
This multiband antenna for 40, 20, and 10 meters uses a coupled-resonator configuration developed from a coaxial sleeve antenna design. Loading coils allow the antenna to cover a narrow segment of the 80-meter band. Check out “A Coupled-Resonator HF Antenna” by Jay Taft, K1EHZ, for instructions on how to build this antenna in time for Field Day. Radio Orienteering: Using Sound to Find Your Way
Charles E. Scharlau, NZØI
Radio orienteering (aka Amateur Radio Direction Finding, or ARDF) involves using a special receiver to find a transmitter located on an outdoor course. Being successful involves one of the most important ham skills — listening — as finding the transmitter depends in part on being able to interpret differences in the signal as you move through the course. Check out the article to learn more about this exciting radiosport. Read On the Air<http://arrl.informz.net/z/cjUucD9taT0yNzA0MTIxJnA9MSZ1PTUyMDUyMjE2NSZsaT0yODUyODUxNA/index.html>

Single Point Ground Panel Location
Ron Block, NR2B
As a follow-up to his popular July 2022 QST article, “Lightning Protection and Grounding Project at W2MMD,” Ron Block, NR2B, presents circumstances to consider when choosing the best place to put a ground panel. Read “Single Point Ground Panel Location” for Ron’s discussion of several configurations, with diagrams. In this episode, USA ARDF Co-coordinator Charles Scharlau, NZØI, talks about how to get involved in what he calls, “the only athletic radio sport.” Listen Now<http://arrl.informz.net/z/cjUucD9taT0yNzA0MTIxJnA9MSZ1PTUyMDUyMjE2NSZsaT0yODUyODUyMQ/index.html>
