Subject: The First Big Texas Hamfest of 2023 Is Here!!!

The Greater Houston HamFest is back.

        It will be a two-day event, starting Friday, March 3, 2023 at 2:00 PM
at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds in Rosenberg, Texas and continuing
until Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 3:00 PM.

        BVARC has wrangled a passel of excellent presenters, including Joe
Eisenberg, K0NEB, Bob Heil, K9EID, and The Enforcer himself, Riley
Hollingsworth, K4ZDH.

        Come to the ARRL Forum and learn what the ARRL is asking Congress to do
for — rather than to — you.

        In light of recent events involving Amateur Radio balloons, the
presentation on balloon launches by Walter Holmes, K5WH, should prove to
be of interest. The rumor that FBI agents and CIA operators will be in
the audience are unfounded — at this time.

        Don’t overlook the raffle: the HamFest has an array of excellent
prizes ranging from a Yaesu FTDX-10 to a Yaesu FTM-300DR — and tickets
are only $5.00. For the price of a Big Mac meal, you might walk away
with a new radio.
