[OFARC] info from club meeting

During today’s meeting, I promised to send out the PRELIMINARY list of activities for 2023 and a description of what each officer position is supposed to do for the club.

Elections are in January.  I know we will need a new president and vice president.
We currently have a single person, Mark, holding the positions of secretary and treasurer.  He is also the VE and test coordinator.

MARK … speak up if you would like to unload some of your tasks!!

As for how much time it takes for each position, I can only address President.
My experience has been a modest time investment. … perhaps 1 hour a week with another 2 hours somewhere during the month.
Make an effort to be on the net each week
Work with VP to get a speaker/program for each monthly meeting
Liaison to HARC (the new group with a rep from each club in the Greater Houston area; quarterly)
Keep our information at ARRL up to date (30 minutes a year)
                Hold a board meeting at least quarterly (monthly would be better)
Appointing a “chair” for each major activity is great help!!  Get the membership involved.
