Stephen,

Thanks for the feedback! There are some videos of some of his lectures as well. Great story about the “red books”!!

Are you familiar with another red book that defined the secrets of how data is formatted on CD ROMs? I used to have a copy…

Barry,

Good morning. Thank you for the links. I will re-read the “He fixes radios by thinking” essay. It’s been quite a few years since I came across it.

Similarly, I’ll re-read chapter 48 of “The Feynman Lectures on Physics”.

Quick story, there was an Indian physics student doing compulsory military service on the India-China border many years ago. The Chinese and Indian troops could see each other clearly across the no-man’s land. The Chinese soldiers started taunting the Indian troops by hollering and waving Mao Tse Tung’s “Red Book”. The Indian troops replied in kind by waving the red books of “The Feynman Lectures on Physics”. Lol.

Thank you for getting me to think about physics!

73,

Stephen (W2WF)

I found chapter 48 entitled “Beats” particularly interesting.

And his famed book, attached… “He fixes radios by thinking”

Best regards,

Barry
