[OFARC] Oak Forest ARC club meeting and Testing 5-22-21 at TranStar

All, You may be on the Oak Forest reflector list but we are going to try and
start back at TranStar for our regular club meetings starting this Saturday
5-22 at 9:00 AM.  This will be the first in person meeting in over a year.
VE testing will also be done at that time.  

 

We meet for breakfast at 7:30 at the Canyon Creek Café on 6603 Westcott St,
Houston, TX 77007 which is just south of I-10.  Should be enough seating
both inside and outside to maintain space.  We will play that by ear. 

 

The TranStar meeting space is limited to 29 people because of the social
distance requirement in the conference center and masks are required.  We
will also have a sign in and liability waiver required for attendees.  Entry
will be through the main doors instead of the usual conference center doors.
The radio room will not be available.  Since the online meeting format has
worked well, we will try and stream the meeting on Zoom for those signed up
for invites.   It took some effort to get the meetings restarted at Trantar
so please no whining about masks, social distance or other restrictions,
otherwise you can participate remotely.  

 

The suggested topic this month is small space antennas and magnetic loops.  

 

We probably have enough VEs but I wanted to let all the VEs know who are not
regular OFARC members about what is going on.  Feel free to come to the
meeting anyway.
