Morse is a valid ham mode.  But not required for teches for about 30, General and Extra for 20.

Hello, my name is marc reiter.  I am mostly a computer geek however i have been interested in ham since summer camp at age 11.  The Morse was a stumbling block and i gave up shortly after attempting to learn.   Lately i have discovered the raspberry pi mini computers and that led to lora radios and then all the way back to ham.  I am learning my morse and i built a 10$ cw 7.023mhz tranceiver. I have built 3 antennas and listened to the ships in the ship channel with an sdr and home made antenna from romex wire.   I would like to get my technician license and see if i can cq someone on 40m.  There is a huge learning curve that i am plowing through as fast as i can. My morse is rudimentary i know my letters if i think but then the next letter is half way through &i i get behind.   Sorry for all the words. Just reaching out as i live near yalls neighborhood and may hear you on the radio one day.
