You may have the time to check out the lay of the land at La Grange.  May you could ask Mr. Ranger about the use of picnic tables there; and how to get one before Yogi the Bear does...

Did check.  They do have some on the map.  But it would not be too difficult to bring your own table.  Walkways and paths seem to be ADA.  If worse came to worse, there is always the parking lot.

Weatherwise, it is very nice just after the first couple of cold fronts knock the heatvand humidity down to humane levels.

Another one day POTA would be:

1.  Steven F Austin SP.  IH10 2nd exit W of Brazos River.  Have not been there lately.
2.  Ft. Travis SP.  Across from the Bolivar Lighthouse E of the Ferry to Halveston Island.  Primitive.  But a table setup near your truck very doable.
