[OFARC] Oak Forest Club Activity Calendar

All, please find attached the updated activity calendar for the Oak Forest
Amateur Radio Club.  

 

For the blind hams, this calendar may not read well in screen readers. This
was created in Excel in calendar format showing the dates of monthly
meetings, events, testing and net control schedule with text in cells
highlighted with color and shading.  

 

For those interested, the East Side (Baytown) Club is hosting a tailgate /
hamfest on Saturday April 24, 2021 at St. Marks Church 3811 N. Main, Baytown
from 7:00 AM to Noon.  This is about 25 miles from downtown Houston south of
I-10.  Setup is at 6:00 AM for the vendors and vultures. There should be
some commercial vendors there also.  Talk-in on the 145.31 repeater,
negative offset, tone 167.9.  This repeater is scratchy until you get to 610

For the new hams that have not been a hamfest, this is a good opportunity to
meet people and see what equipment or parts is available for sale or trade.
Like any garage sale, the early birds get the best picks so you should be
there at 7:00 or earlier.   Wear good shoes and be prepared for the weather.
