I recently purchased a book from the ARRL store that I highly recommend.
The book is entitled "Experimental Methods in RF Design".  As sold from the
ARRL, a CD is included that contains two other books in pdf form by Wes
Hayward that are great tutorials on RF theory:

"Introduction to Radio Frequency Design" and

"Solid State Design  for the Radio Amateur".

 

For $25, these fine works make a great addition to your library. (compare
prices on amazon.)
