Events and Activities for the Brazos Valley Amateur Radio Club

 

 

*BVARC in-person activities for the near future have been cancelled or
delayed.  We'll get back to normal get-togethers, hopefully by June.  *

 

*VEC Testing sessions are on hold for now.*

 

*Club Meeting April 9th* -- Our prez is working toward an on-line streaming
club meeting.  Stay tuned to the web site and e-mail blasts.

 

*NETS for the Week*

      *NEW --* "Net at Noon" -- Every weekday at noon  -- 146.94  Open forum
chat -- round table

      Monday Night BVARC Net -- 8 PM  146.94

      Wednesday  Rag Chew Net -- 3910 KHz   7PM

      Saturday -- Breakfast Net  7AM   3,907 KHz  or  146.94 -- depending

on 80 meter condx.

      Other nets are possible if interest is shown

 

*Something to do -- April Trivia Contest*

     Trivia question #1 - Where was a 2 mile long antenna array in Texas?

     Trivia question #2 - What was its use?

     Trivia question #3 - The FCC had specifically built monitoring stations
all across the US. There were at two in Texas in the 1960's. Where were
they?

     Trivia question #4 - What was the first ham repeater in Houston?

     Trivia question #5 - Where was its home for over 30 years?

                  The first person to answer all 5 correctly by April 20th
(e-mail date and time will be the deciding factor)

                         will receive a Baofeng dual band handheld radio.

 

*Museum Ships and Field Day *plans are still moving forward in anticipation
that we'll get the all clear.
