CQ:

I am coming on the 11TH. Will be bringing the updated METRO rolling jump bag. This is the one I take to the spring Scouting event at the Dome complex. It rolls onto METRO buses and Light Rail. Updated because the old one has bad wheels. Has IC 2720 in an orange amo box from Academy, an MFJ power supply, 1/2 l magmount ant, plus fuses....Compleye station about $500. Less than that of a smart phone...

OK folks. Time to put on your ELMER hat.

Tech license class starts this Saturday.

We have 28 people signed up and 27 say they will be there this weekend.

We start signups at 9 a.m. and lessons by 10

Several club member said they would come out to help.

I know how life happens and our plans can be changed for us..so..

Anyone who can help out for any portion of the day would be greatly
appreciated.

Subject: class syllabus

I thought some of you may want to see the class syllabus.

It is based on using the ARRL study guide and slide packs.

Don't be frightened by the names of some of the modules.

Everything is broken into easy to understand concepts.

I see the first day going something like this.

9-10 check in and introductions

10-11 Modules 1 & 2

11-12 Modules 3a

12-1230 lunch

1230 to 1 Module 3b

1-230 modules 3c and 3d

I am not forecasting the rest yet.. Let's see how the first morning goes...

Ralph
