Also see how many club members are interested. This may be a no go zone.

My neighborhood HOA board has come down with a disappointing decision about using the building.

Basically, they are saying NO by putting on prohibitive restrictions.

Our Options are:

*         Just cancel the event

* Spend $300 for a porta-potty (not my favorite idea. I would like to see the club money used for a bigger event or club station)

* Hold the event as planned, but use a camp toilet in a tent behind the building (risk HOA having a fit or calling the police)

* Find someplace else to hold it (someone’s home, a fire station, etc)

I have attached my original plans for WFD

Here is a link to the WFD home page, you can find the rules from there:

https://www.winterfieldday.com/

I would like to hear from the club.

Can anyone find another place to hold it…even if we make it just a club event, not open to the public

Please send your Ideas to the reflector and maybe we can discuss a little on the Tuesday Net.

I have read the board’s decision twice to make sure I understand it correctly.

Frankly, I was expecting to use the pool toilets as that avoids traffic inside the building and any grass carried on our shoes would likely come off by the time we reached the toilets, thus minimizing the sweeping needed inside the restrooms.

The cost of a professional deep cleaning is prohibitive.

I will advise the team and see if they are still willing to put up the money for a porta-potty. (approx. $300 for Friday drop off and Monday morning pick up, twice that if moved on a weekend) If not, then I will probably have to cancel the event.

I can use the day and location to train the CERT folks on raising an antenna and using a radio.

Ralph,

The Board of Directors came to the following decision last night regarding the use of the community building:

In order to use the community building Ralph Phillips must hold the keys to the building and the building will remain locked when not in use, only one individual at a time enters the building, individuals entering the building must wear a mask and sign a COVID waiver before the meeting. The radio group agrees to pay us the exact dollar amount for a professional deep cleaning of the building by the company of our choice with payment required before the event. If the radio group does not agree to these terms and conditions they may bring in a porta potty to be used for the event and removed in an expedient manner after the event.

I have contacted COIT and the cost to deep clean the building for COVID after your event is $672.00.

Best,

Shirley
