[OFARC] how I setup to receive SSTV to computer from radio

All.  You don’t have to wait for the net to play with the SSTV.  You can send and receive images also on HF with MMSSTV.  If you are already doing digital for PSK or FT8 just download the software, set the codecs for soundcard input and go to the SSTV frequencies.  You can also receive the image through the computer microphone.  Make sure the microphone input and volume is set correctly.  HF is pretty noisy so the radio will need to be close to the computer input.  The software should do the rest.  Most of the activity is at 14.230 and 7.171 mHz.  Look at the HF bandplan for other frequencies.  You will hear the distinctive whooping.    Mark

attached picture shows how  I receive from radio and let the software hear using mic speaker in front of computer mic...

 

AMSAT club  has net same time as ours... after our net listen to them and they send out 2 or 3 images  145.19  it is on everyone's radio that we programed.
