Subject: WinLink for Beginners training
Hello all,
We had a fun turnout for the WinLink Training for Beginners that we did
following the SW ARES Net on Wednesday evening. About a dozen people
participated. Plus we think about another 5-10 were listening without
checking in based on comments we have received since the training. We had a
nice combination of less experienced WinLink users as well as more
experienced WinLink users to answer questions during the training.
I propose we repeat the this hands-on training following each of your nets
over the course of the next month. Does that sound interesting? Please let
me know what you think and we can pick a date. After we have done several
of these TelNet based trainings, we are hoping to start doing some small
group, in person entry level VHF/UHF WinLink training.
I would make sure to coordinate with the Oak Forest radio club to see if
they want to have us pick a different evening than Tuesday for this training
or make it a portion of their after net rag chew session.
Thank you,
Linda, W5LDK
