Greetings to All !!!
The Texas Dept of Transportation (TxDOT, who I work for) has another job
opening for a Radio Coordinator (radio tech).
This opening is located at the Dallas District Headquarters on the east
side of Mesquite, TX, in the DFW area.

TxDOT is looking for a ???Real Radio Person??? to fill the Radio
Coordinator position in the Dallas District. The current person has
moved to a position as the Houston District Radio Coordinator
This is not??? repeat???NOT!!! an IT job???this is real, no kidding RF
radio work job.
I like to say we do ???Professional Ham Radio???.
TxDOT uses VHF, 700/800MHz, DMR (MotoTurbo), P25 and analog
communications, Motorola radios and a real! HF network.

Experience with Motorola trunking systems is a huge plus.
Pay will depend on number of years of experience and work experience in
radio (mainly public safety or military related, but ham radio does
count).
See the job posting for job qualifications at the following URL...

Required additional qualifications are:
FCC General Radio Operators License or an Amateur Radio License, of
General class of higher. An Amateur license of Technician class may work
if upgraded to general quickly.

Preferred certifications include:
COML, COMT, AUXCOM certifications

Other experience needed is Programming experience with Motorola
equipment such as MotoTurbo/DMR,
X-series, Quantar repeaters, APX series radios.

Please see the job posting for details on qualifications needed.
If you have contacts in any other areas, places or email lists, please
distribute.
Interested persons need to apply via the TxDOT website ASAP as I am told
they will start interviewing very soon.
BTW, yes, the lucky winner will be working very closely with me.
I can answer some questions by phone.

In Service,
Paul Gilbert
