Hi Ralph!
I've done this for Yaesu radios that have the RJ-45 and Yaesu radios that have the RJ-12 (6 conductor). See if the pinout diagram is in the manual or find it online and it should be easy if you are used to doing ethernet cables, but quite doable if you are not. You just need the crimper and the connector. If it's a 6-pin RJ-12, you can get the crimper and connectors at Frys or online. Happy holidays.

Subject: [OFARC] microphone problem help
The microphone connector to my IC-706mk2G has broken
it is a RJ45 connector ... is it possible to put on a new connector
where the wiring will be correct or should i just by a new microphone??
I tried the microphone from my other Icom that also uses RJ45, but they
are wired differently.
Ralph
