[OFARC] Baking Mat

That’s a great idea. Mary has several of these that we use for baking and I’m amazed at how they hold up.

A very simple and cheap method I use for keeping keys, computers, keypads, clocks, and other desk items is DAP Blue Stick removable adhesive putty. Put 4 small beads on the bottom of the key and press flat. This has the strength of adhesive tape but is easily removable and will not stain or mar the surface.

You can also use these to control solder splatter and to keep from burning the desk. Obviously do not reuse for food. I however, am banned from using Mary’s kitchen items for other purposes unless I get special permission having already destroyed several baking pans when needing some emergency sheet metal.

Hey CW Guys, you gotta try this!

I got the Silpat Nonstick Silicone Baking Mat at "Bed, Bath & Beyond"
yesterday and it really is TERRIFIC!

One if my favorite keys bounced around too much.
I was going to buy that same key with a heavier base. But, . . .
it's not necessary with that baking mat.

It's easier to clean, and, when dust gets on it,
the key doesn't start moving around.

Silpat® Nonstick 8-1/4-Inch x 11-3/4-Inch Silicone Baking Mat $14.99

If you use some small keys, like J-38s, you can cut the mat to make more than one pad.

[ I don't own stock in B, B & B ]
