[OFARC] 2018 Scout Fair - Information to Non Profit Exhibitors

The original version did not include those items for us.

I contacted the organizers on Monday and they responded they will provide chairs, tables & power.

We may be able to use power from the EMCOM van if needed.

 

As a backup …. I have a table and some camp chairs that I can bring.

If we don’t need them, they can stay in the truck.

 

Jim loaned us a pop-up canopy and his portable vertical antenna.

I will bring those and the club banner.

In the Excel spreadsheet, for us, Oak Forest Amateur Radio Club, it does not show any electricity, tables or chairs.

The amateur radio exhibit will be at booth 992.

I have confirmed they will provide 2 tables, 4 chairs, and electrical power.

 

Early set up instructions received from the organizers are;

a.      Outside booths will be in the front of the NRG Arena at the SE corner of the building in the Maroon parking area.

b.      Entrance to this area will be from the drive at the NE corner of the NRG arena.

c.       Gates 9 and 10 of NRG Park will be open at 6:00am. These gates are on the west side of the park off Kirby Dr.

 

 

See you there Saturday morning.

On behalf of the Sam Houston Area Council, thank you for agreeing to participate in the 2018 Scout Fair. Organizations such as yours help add to the education, fun and purpose of the fair by exposing youth to areas that may lead to careers or lifelong hobbies or are just plain fun.

Even though Scout Fair is returning to NRG Arena there are several changes from previous years. There will be no Friday setup except by special arrangement for a few cases bringing in trailers or heavy equipment. On Saturday morning (April 14) NRG Park gates 9 and 10 will be open at 6:00am to accommodate move-in and set-up which will last from 6:00.

More specific information, including your booth number and location, are available in the attachments.

4.       Booth Numbers, tables, chairs, water and electricity by group.

5.       Scout Fair Program Booklet

 

We can generally handle minor changes in booth needs such as tables and chairs on Saturday, but let us know if our numbers are incorrect
