Subject: [OFARC] JOTA plans
The plans for JOTA are simple and similar to last year...
This year's flyer is attached
1 Be ready for guests by 9am and go until 1pm
2 hang one antenna . G5RV
3 have one HF radio on the air, use the club call
4 have one VHF radio on the air and use repeaters to talk around
town . especially the SaltGrass link system (146.92)
5 I am providing Rusty with some morse code "sounders" for the
guests to use
6 Hand out morse code pocket cards to guests as interested
7 Talk about the radio skills that are useful in other careers
8 Talk about amateur radio and how it helps at races, hurricanes,
forest fires (reference items in the news)
9 Just enjoy the time talking with the boys
10 Get club members and boys on the air
