[OFARC] Fw: Purchase of Yaesu FT-857D

I am thinking of purchasing the FT-857D from hamradio.com. Does anyone know of a better source? Is the "control cable" that is included a data cable to hook to the computer or a programming cable or both or neither? The Yaesu site lists at least three cables for this radio, and I'm not clear on which ones provide me the capability to do digital modes and to program it with my laptop.
