I'm not sure whats going on but the SMA jumpers are a little tight and the
connector has to be firmly seated. This was a problem on one of the
Baeofangs where it was not seated properly on the radio. Could also be a bad
cable. If checking this its still a problem, bring the antennas back next
month with the radio or catch up with me sometime before and we can see what
the problem is. Could also just be a dead spot where you are located. Try
at some other location and see if this clears it up.

Ralph,
At the meeting Saturday, I was testing several of the antennas we built.
None of the 3-4 that i tried could hit the 170 repeater strong enough to make
the trip. All of them easily hit the w5bsa repeater on the west side of
town. Now I'm wondering if the problem is at the repeater since you are
having so many problems too.

The past few weeks I have had problems hitting the repeater from home with
50 watts....Hwy 59 @ W. Airport area
Normally It is no problem.
I have no problems hitting the 146.92 and 146.940 machines

I spoke with a fellow on the 146.92 repeater and he said my signal was
strong and clean but he was not able to hit the 145.17 machine either

Is there anything going on with the repeater?
I know the antenna was moved out of place last year.

Thanks
Ralph
