Once again we are getting ready to enter the summer with several
events.  This weekend is, of course, Field Day weekend.  I encourage
you to support your local club events and have some fun this weekend.
There are likely several events occurring nearby.

Club Leaders - If you are having a FD event, Have you entered it into
the ARRL.ORG club locator?  We cannot find you if you do not tell us
where you are.

We have two Hamfest coming up also -

Tidelands Amateur Radio Society will be having a nice event in Texas
City on the 16th of July. I plan on attending and look forward to
seeing you there.  Info is found at  http://www.tidelands.org/

Then there is the Austin Summerfest.  Held in Austin on August 5 & 6th.
This is more a convention with a swapfest as part of it. Come for the
presentations and seminars and find something you cannot live without.

In case you missed it, Governor Abbot signed a proclamation naming this
Amateur Radio Week. Details and an image of the proclamation can be
