I read the new language for the Amateur Radio Parity Act
don't like it.
the original version was weak but could be effective
this new one looks to be watered down way too much
I suggest we hammer ARRL and our congressmen on this issue
My note to ARRL is attached below...

the CAI has posted the revised language on their web page
I found the language through QRZ.com
never found it through the ARRL
now I know why.
it appears the ARRL gave away the farm
see the link below

1301 Amendment.pdf
i am not a lawyer, but the bill is written in fairly plain language ...
the new language says HOAs can prohibit antennas if the station is
not under the direct and exclusive control of the licensee ... so
much for 3rd party traffic, JOTA, radio merit badges, and EMCOMM
it also says homeowners must get approval before erecting ANY type
of antenna.
they will not want to understand the differences between VHF and HF
antennas or directional antennas.
everyone will be limited to 2m j-poles & single wire 1/4 wave
verticals hidden in the trees
this is not something I can support
_I want to see an analysis by some of our lawyers with licenses and one
from the FCC__
__ARRL needs to make that happen._
