[OFARC] OFARC Radio Programming for January 2017

RE: Radio Programming - Getting Ready
 
As we discussed at the club meeting and on the air, Lee NR5Q and me  are 
coordinating the radio programming session for the January 2017 OFARC club  
meeting.  The goal is to develop a  list of around 30  active working 
frequencies and have you load these into your radio  during the session.  We will be 
prepared to program HTs and any other radio  that we have the cables and 
software for. 
 
We are working out the frequency list, order and  labeling of the channels 
which will be sent out  in  the coming weeks.  We will also prepare list of 
radios we can  program.  
 
In advance of the session, you can get cables, software and  hardware and 
start to play with the programming on your own. Otherwise  just wait for the 
session.  CHIRP is the free general purpose  programming software that works 
with many radios, otherwise use the software  that comes with the radio.
