[OFARC] Cub Scout Appearance Request

The cub scout meeting is tomorrow evening and I am watching the weather closely.
The CubMaster may cancel if the weather is too bad.

I will send a note to this reflector with the status by 3 pm tomorrow

He sent me a different address        First Presbyterian Church of Houston at 5300 Main in the mini-gym
I looked it up and it is still in the same area

Looking forward to your appearance Tuesday. Unfortunately I was called into work Tuesday night, but the meeting is still a go. I’ll let you know who to look for when you arrive Tuesday. It will probably be my wife Valerie. We are meeting at First Presbyterian Church of Houston at 5300 Main in the mini-gym. Security can point you in the right direction when you first arrive. My only other concern for now is the weather which could be kind of bad. If we have to make a change because of that I will let you know ASAP.

Just thought we should touch base ......

I believe we settled on my presentation being on April 19.
Based on a 7PM start, I will plan to be there about 6:30 so I can get set up.
I will need a projector to work with my laptop, a table, and power outlet.
I have cables to connect the laptop to most projectors, and a LONG extension cord.

I will bring some very basic morse code practice keys, some pocket sized copies of the code and some post cards from people I have talked with on the radio.
The attached files are ones I used for the round table presentation.
Of course I will tailor the spoken part to the ages of the boys present.

Ralph,

Our former Cubmaster heard your presentation on ham radio at the Twin Bayou roundtable and said you that our kids would love this. As incoming Cubmaster, I wondered if you might be able to make a presentation at one of our Pack 11 Pack meetings. We have about 60 boys and normally have 40-50 kids show up for pack meetings. We meet at First Presbyterian in the museum district from 7-8pm. The dates I'm looking at are March 22nd or April 19th.

Does this interest you and/or are you available? I can provide much more information if you need to know more.
