[OFARC] Fw: MB counselor training

I checked into the requirements to be a MB counselor to make sure nothing had changed since I was registered.  I am registered as a MB counselor already and have taught the Radio badge 3 times.  (I am also listed for Astronomy.)

The steps below will allow you to be registered for ANY merit badge you wish to teach.  It is good anywhere in Texas (probably the USA).

  a.. Take Youth Protection Training (YPT) on-line and print out the certificate.  It can be found at this link .........     https://myscouting.scouting.org
  b.. Fill out the application pages  (files attached)
    a.. adult application (pages 4 & 5)  
    b.. merit bage counselor (page 1)
    c.. NOTE  you can be associated with a particular troop or "at large".  It is your choice.
  c.. Take MB counselor training (1-1.5 hours).  The training will be offerred on Thursday 9/22/15 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul Presbyterian Church, 7200 Bellaire Blvd.  (Contact Bill Folts at dofb2 at yahoo.com)
  d.. Turn in the applications to the district or to the instructor at MB counselor training
The MB Counselor  training could also be given at a club meeting or other time to be arranged if we have 4-6 people who wish to become counselors.
