All, this is a machine readable form for the one listed as page 5 in the last few emails. This is the adult registration form that can be downloaded from the website. Mark

ok folks ...
Sandy Troff is a volunteer with boy scouts. She is the Advancement Chair & Merit Badge coordinator for the Twin Bayou District (west-central houston).
She will be at our club meeting about 10:30 this Saturday and provide the merit badge counselor training class. Class will start at 11:00 and will take about an hour.
(The class is free, but I suggest you save some doughnuts for her.)
Please see her notes below for prerequisites and read the attached files.
This will be a very busy day since JOTA will be going on at the lodge at the same time.
Mike & I will be at the Houston area Council HQ for JOTA.
I look forward to hearing stories from JOTA and the class.
Ralph

Attached are the forms and the procedures for the MBC this coming Saturday's class. I would like to be able to be there 30 minutes before the class start time of 11am. I will need a projector and the cable to connect my laptop or if there is a computer there, I can bring my thumb drive. To be registered as Merit Badge Counselor, the adult must have taken the BSA Youth Protection Training and provide me a copy of the certificate. Here is the link for the YPT training which is a free online course.
http://www.scouting.org/Training/YouthProtection.aspx
It makes the class go by quicker if the forms and YPT are completed in advance of the MBC training class.

If we could start it at 11am that would be great. Where would this be held?

Pour club meeting typically ends about 10:30 or 11:00. We could do it then.
If that will not work for you, please suggest a time.

Sandy,
We met at roundtable last week after my presentation about amateur radio.
At least 3 of our radio club members are interested in being merit badge counselors
would you be willing to give the training after our club meeting on Oct 17?
our web page is www.ofarc.org

Ralph Philips
