World 2014 JOTA-JOTI 
Report Available 

The World 2014 JOTA-JOTI Report is available. It reports 1.3 million participants — easily the largest Scouting event in the world. Make sure you get on the air in 2015. ARRL Amateur Radio  
Service to Scouting Award 

The ARRL certificate has been finalized. Check out the  requirements and download the nomination form . A number of Scouters have already been recognized for their service. Nominate those who are making an impact in your council. N3FJP's Free JOTA Logging Software 
Jamboree on the Air logging software is available for free. You can find the software at  http://n3fjp.com/jota.html  This would be a great way to capture the numbers from your JOTA event to help make your after action report. Start Planning for JOTA 2015

This is just a starting point for your planning. Hope it helps. Radio Merit Badge 
The merit badge numbers for 2014 have been released. You can find them at the Bryan on Scouting blog . Radio Merit Badge remained at #73 on the list. The numbers were 6,665, down from the record in 2013 of 7,208. We note that 339 were earned at the National Scout Jamboree during that record year.  

We've added a slide deck for your use in briefing amateur radio clubs to encourage them to consider conducting a Radio Merit Badge workshop. You can find it at  http://www.k2bsa.net/radio-scouting-presentations/ 2017 Jamboree Staff 
If you're interested in serving as a staff member for the 2017 Jamboree, complete this interest survey to get on the list of prospective staff members. If you served on the 2013 Jamboree Staff, you may be interested in joining the SBR Staff Association . ICOM Station Loans 
The ICOM loan stations are still available. Many were in use during JOTA weekend and at summer camp. You can find details and applications at ICOM Station Loans . Radio Scouting Committee 
There has been growing interest in starting council Radio Scouting Committees. We've provided a few notes on how to get things started in your council at  http://www.k2bsa.net/radio-scouting-committee/ K2BSA Call Sign Use 
If you're interested in using the K2BSA call sign for your Radio Scouting event, including Jamboree on the Air, you can find the application at K2BSA Call Sign Use . For last year's JOTA, all 10 continental USA call sign areas activated K2BSA. Already five have been reserved. Don't miss out. Reserve your's soon.
