[OFARC] Solar eclipse visible in Texas Oct 23

A partial solar eclipse will be visible from Texas on Oct 23
Dallas will see 41% of the sun covered
Houston will see 30-35% eclipse
for Dallas the eclipse will start about 4:45 PM central daylight time
Houston should be within a few minutes of the same times. It could be up to 10 minutes later)
Maximum eclipse about 5:53 PM (10-15 degrees above the western horizon)
the sun will set still partially covered by the moon
If you choose to watch the eclipse BE SAFE
use a pin hole camera to project the image on a card or wall
use binoculars to project the image
#14 density welder glass is ok (NOT #12)
watch a live feed of the eclipse from one of the observatories (just Google solar eclipse on the web and you should find a streaming site)
