I've got my first HF radio for sale as I can't bear watching it sit idle
for too many more years. This is a great little radio for anyone starting
out on HF or looking for a smaller radio to carry around.

This radio was bought as a consignment from HARS in 2002 and was used as my
primary HF radio for many years. It has seen very sporadic usage during the
last 3 years or so. I am the second owner. The radio does have a couple of
minor scratches on the case but is fully functional. Pictures are available
if requested.

The radio comes with the 500Hz CW filter and does not have the FM board. I
brought the radio to Dave at HARS earlier this year to take care of the
receive drifting problem (replaced trimmer cap 2701) and his tech gave the
radio a thorough look-through. Also included is the Yaesu MH1-B8 stock mic,
original box, and manual.

At the time I bought the radio, I also bought the matching power supply, a
Yaesu FP-800 (originally $300) that I've used exclusively on the FT-840.
This is a nice, quiet PS which also doubles as an external speaker.

I'd like $500 for the whole package (radio + power supply).

73,
Colin KU5B
