Christine Smith, N5CAS. is our ARES District Emergency Coordinator. She is
the Communications Director for the Harris County CERT Rodeo. It takes place
on February 12. It is an all day event although 1/2 day participation can be
accommodated. You will need a hand-held with sufficient batteries to last
the day. Low power for most locations is probably sufficient.
Contact Christine directly to work the event.

I will be there working with Christine to keep communications organized.
This is an interesting event to watch, especially if you have CERT training,
to see how the various teams go about their assigned activities.
This is good training for working on a net with a group of hams who you do
not know. I really, really encourage you to help out with this event.
