IRLP / ECHOLINK ARES NET

In an effort to bring the Nevada Section closer together, we have created
the IRLP-ECHOLINK NEVADA ARES NET. This net meets twice monthly, on the
2nd and 4th Saturdays at 0830 a.m. The net can be accessed on your local
IRLP repeater by accessing the Western Reflector Channel 8 (Node 9258); or
via Echolink using Node 152566. If you are unsure as to how to gain
access, just ask your DEC or check with our Section Technical Coordinator,
Kent Johnson W7AOR in Las Vegas at w7aor at narri.org.

We would like to have as many as possible cabinet member appointees as well
as all DECs and ECs from around the state check in to this net. Our
purpose and goal for creating this net is to allow those who cannot or are
unable to check into the weekly Saturday morning HF Net (3965 at 0800) the
opportunity to participate and discuss ideas, concerns and training.

This net is the perfect forum to present ideas to each other, voice
concerns over mutual aid possibilities, exercise our skills and learn one
to another. Each of us has unique qualities and skills that we can teach
others. This is the perfect forum to do just that and be a team
together. What it takes is participation! If you will set aside the time,
I know you will be rewarded with some great discussions, as we draw closer
to and from each other as The Nevada Section ARES Team. Please accept this
invitation and join us and pass this information on to other members of
your local teams so that they might benefit, too. Remember that we get out
of these opportunities what we are willing to put into them.

Thanks and 73
