Greetings to all -

A reminder that an Open Forum/Q & A is planned for this Saturday,
January 10, from 10 AM to Noon. The location is the V.A. Medical
Center, 1000 Locust Street in Reno, Classroom 1D197. The primary
purpose of this session is to provide assistance to new hams and
newcomers in getting active on the air by answering question for them
regarding operation of radios, repeater systems and coverage, area
clubs/organizations and activities, and any other subject with which
assistance may be needed.

NEW HAMS/NEWCOMERS: Here is your chance to meet others in the local
amateur community and have any questions about ham radio answered. If
you need assistance learning operation of radio, please bring the radio
and operating manual, if possible (we may need to learn along with you
in order to help you!)

EXPERIENCED HAMS: Please join in if you are available. We need your
expertise to help out others!

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS: If you want to educate area hams new and old about
your organization and its activities, you need to have representatives
of your group at the forum to talk to others. Bring your banners and
any literature about your group as well.

EVERYONE: Come on out and enjoy coffee, juices, and pastries provided
free of charge for all attendees!

Following a break for lunch, I will be offering training in the
afternoon starting at 1:00 P.M. and running until approximately 3 on the
National Traffic System and handling formal written messages via amateur
radio. Everyone interested is welcome to attend this training as well.

73 and hope to see you and your club there,
Matt, N7TOD
