PROGRAM This is a technical meeting in nature. Hear David Cameron, IRLP
System Designer provide information that will enable node owners to better
understand the hardware and software design features of IRLP nodes and
reflectors. You will learn how and why it works the way it does. Join in an
open forum to discuss those items of special interest to you and swap your
best experiences with others. Get an advanced look at the future of the IRLP
system. Learn how IRLP started and where IRLP is going. Share experience
with commercial applications of voice over IP. Items will be added to the
technical program as interest dictates.
Those that attended last years event agreed without exception that it was
well worth their time and expressed strong interest in continuing with an
annual node owners meeting in Las Vegas during 2003. Many friendships
resulted from the last meeting. It is always great to meet the person that
goes with the voice from the radio. The Node Owners Meeting provides a great
opportunity to have that eyeball QSO.
The Local =93candy store=94 AES will have the latest ham gear on display and
will offer door prizes.
Did you ever notice the glass bubbles in the casino ceilings and wonder=
who
was being watched and why? A rare look behind the scenes into the technology
of casino gaming monitoring is offered at the conclusion of the meeting
events.
IMPERIAL PALACE with its 2,700 luxurious room and suites is centrally
located on the famous Las Vegas Strip within easy walking distance of other
major resort hotels. The Imperial Palace is mid block North of Flamingo Blvd
across the street from Caesar=92s Palace. The Las Vegas Strip is just a few
miles from the airport.
The casino provides 75,000 square-feet of 24-hour adult gaming with a
variety of table games, Keno and the newest slot machines. A
"state-of-the-art" Race & Sports Book puts you in the game with more than
230 individual television screens.
Imperial Palace is home of =93Legends in Concert=94, a live, on-stage=
recreation
of the performances of a select group of superstars from the past and
present. The talented performers not only sound like the original stars,
they look and act like them too. You will see performances by incredible
look-alike and sound-alike superstars such as Elvis Presley, John Lennon,
Marilyn Monroe, Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, Cher, Elton John, Michael
Jackson, Madonna, The Beatles, Liberace, Dolly Parton, The Blues Brothers,
and many more. These performers sing with their own voices and play their
own instruments. There is no lip-synching.
The world's largest and finest collection of antique and special interest
vehicles are on display and for sale daily on the fifth floor of the
Imperial Palace parking facility. Tour more than 300 pieces of "History on
Wheels" daily.
National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) meeting events are conducted
during the weekdays prior to April 11. It is traditional to have a Wednesday
evening reception at the Hilton for hams with over an hour of drawings for
items donated by exhibitors, some great and some not so great. Approximately
200 hams is a typical number attending including locals.
EVENT SCHEDULE: The meeting day will begin in the Pearl Room on the 4th
floor with a Continental Breakfast at 7:30 A.M. Saturday followed by
Welcome to Las Vegas, introduction of the Node Owners, the technical
program, Lunch, more technical program, owners forum and concluding with a
Banquet starting at 6 PM.

about their cancellation policy. Hotel room in Las Vegas peak in price at
the weekend and lower rates may be expected in certain hotels during other
times of the week.
MEETING REGISTRATION FEE The registration fee is $60 that covers the day
long meeting, breakfast, lunch and miscellaneous refreshments during the
day.
A BANQUET will be held Saturday April 12, 2003 on the 5th floor starting
with a social hour at 6 P.M. with a cash bar near by where beer, wine,
cocktails and soft drinks may be purchased. The cost of the evening banquet
is $30 additional per meeting attendee. Spouses and guests are welcome at
$30 for each additional person. The Menu =AD Tossed Garden Greens=
Vinaigrette
as a starter followed by Roast Prime Rib of Beef served with Double Baked
Potatoes and Carrots Vicchy and Fresh Baked Rolls and Butter. Desert is a
Cheese Cake Slice. Coffee, Decaf or Tea will be served.
