 To all my friends,

 As NTX Section Traffic Manager, I want to wish everyone on all the
nets a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.  Since I was
appointed to this job in 1997, I have enjoyed it very much, and I
appreciate all the net members, net managers, section managers, and
ARRL personnel who helped make my job so much easier over the years.
However, I feel the time has come, after 10 and a half years, to let
someone else bring new ideas, fresh perspectives, and opportunities to
the job.  Therefore, I would like to announce that I am retiring as
NTX Section Traffic Manager at the end of December.  I'm not leaving
the nets, though, and will still be here.

 I am also glad to announce that I have recommended, and N5GAR, the
Section Manager has approved, that the new NTX Section
 Traffic Manager as of January 1 is Herman May, KE5HYW, of Garland.  I
wish to congratulate him and wish him good luck in his appointment,
and he will do a fine job for the section.  Again, I wish to thank
everyone who has supported and helped me over these years, and know
you will offer Herman the same support and help.
